About our Neighborhood

56 hectarias strong divided into 250 lots, boasting 5 hectars divided into 6 parkes.

The “Asociacion de Desarrollo Vecinos” was created to add stabillity, communications and security guard infrastructure. Today there are more than 100 families living here at Aves. Most are voluntarily supporting the Asocion for expenses such as 24/7 mobile guards and land-scaping upkeep.

About AVES

At 60, my father’s mid-life-crisis escape from his 9to5 accounting carrier in the U.S, lead him to Costa Rica. That was a long long time ago… 50 years. He fell in love with this property. Father put together the 56 hectar Residencial Aves Del Paraiso, in the early 80’s, with its rolling hills, fresh air and tranquility. This hillside was previously occupied and worked by a dedicated group of Esoteric Catholic Monks.

Aves is known for its cornucopia of tropical flowers trees, palms, cactus and canes, cast in plantings Every-Where in the Residencial.

Father was putting Aves together, mean while my husband David was hard at work planting an international tropical flower farm in the Atlantic zone. Hence Palms and such from Cuba, Trinidad, Ecuador and even eastern countries, such as Thialand and Papua New Guinea.

Aves maintains 24-7-365 security service. All residence vehicals carry a metal sensative badge on their auto which automatically raises the gate for instant access, while the guard knowingly salutes you driving in. There are numerous video cameras in every calle and park. These are monitored at the entrance guard house.

The residence here at Aves Del Paraiso, maintains an elected administration “Asociacion de Desarrollo Vecinos” which has been quite effective in organizing security, vecinos concerns, road-side upkeep, municipality communications and managing the voluntary +/-100$ per month quota for security and road-side maintainance.
